On Saturday June 18th Menno de Jong will be performing a musical marathon on the beach of The Netherlands. An impressive 10 hour journey through the past, present and future of his career as a DJ, producer and label boss will be taking place at brand new beachclub FUEL. Famous for its stunning views of the ocean Bloemendaal provides the perfect setting for this unique event, featuring a special live performance at sunset.
Flying …under the flag of his own imprint ‘Intuition’ Menno has been involved in the Dance music scene in a multitude of ways over the past decade. Nearly 250 episodes into a succesful radio show, 50 highly sought-after podcasts, two well received mix compilations, seasonal Intuition festivals and running one of the top Trance labels worldwide have provided amazing moments to look back on, and assure much more magic to come.
As a producer Menno has established himself with tracks such as ‘Tundra’, ‘Spirit’, ‘Last Light Tonight’, ‘Bambino’, ‘Nolthando’, ‘Guanxi’, ‘Momentum’, ‘Solid State’ and remixes for artists such as Mark Otten, Alex M.O.R.P.H., The Thrillseekers and others. He has recently been honoured by Armin van Buuren spinning his latest single ‘Turtle Paradise’ on A State Of Trance twice in a row and being part of the ASOT 500 world tour in Den Bosch and Sydney.
Menno has grown since his last solo show at Westerunie, Amsterdam in 2008 and on June 18th 2011 he will be showing you exactly how during a 10 hour monster set. There is more however, as this time around a special guest will be part of the celebration. In honor of the upcoming event Menno has worked with British vocalist Ellie Lawson to record a vocal track suitably titled ‘Place In The Sun’. During Menno Solo 2011 Bloemendaal aan Zee will be hearing an exclusive live performance of this track at sunset.
