Had a crazy time in Prague with Brilliant and creative photographer Bara Prasilova and her team shooting the artwork for my new music releases this year! We spent the first day in Prague marvelling at beautiful architecture and fairytale like castles,whilst turning down trips to museums of ancient torture and ancient grave yards (maybe next time! lol)
Bara’s first location for the shoot was in a beautiful 1930s style swimming pool, with an outdoor heated pool. Some of the pools were empty of water, which gave the place a lot of character and I loved the grand stadium seating surrounding the pools.
We did the shoot with a massive amount of clothes and took so many pics I felt like I had done a full on work out at the gym by the end of the day! Loved every minute of it and always inspired by Bara’s creative and unique vision.
The second day we shot in another old 1930s building that used to be very expensive to rent but is now used mainly by artists. We had a little helper that tried to get in on the shoot! (not Dave my guitarst,co-writer and best friend lol, the sweet black dog!)

Hello..!!! I’m Soo excited to announce my new monthly night at the Bedford in Balham– Im calling it: “INSIGHTS : Music With A Message”, and it will be showcasing some of my favourite lyrically and socially conscious and uplifting musicians and artists, once a month starting in February. The first night will be Wednesday 15th Feb, doors at 7pm; and for only £5 you’ll be treated to the likes of Joe Driscoll, Antoine Architeuthis, Mailman, HKB FiNN, and of course myself Ellie Lawson..!

Hello! I’m very excited to let you know I have a 5 track EP out on 15th November! Dave is currently editing the video for the first single. It will be ready in a week! The song is called ‘Change the way‘ and we filmed it during our ‘Indian summer’ here in the UK a few weeks ago in the woods and park near where we live! It features our lovely dog Mabel and our favourite new instrument-the Ukelele!

Exciting times..! Check out mine and dave’s latest hair-brain project… “ACOUST’ED”– its a new YouTube channel, showcasing the best up and coming unique eclectic acoustic talent– all recorded live especially by us, capturing the magic of real acoustic music in the moment! Here’s the first video- its an acoustic arrangement of the massive trance tune “Wide Awake”, originally by Richard Durand feat. Ellie Lawson; here Ellie is joined by the super talented harpist Tara Minton!
So between now and my 3rd album which I hope will be finished by the middle of next year I am releasing an EP called ‘Lost Without You EP’ The first song on the EP is already on the Music Week playlist and I will be performing songs from there on BBC Cambridge to start the ball rolling! The songs were written by myself and Dave Harewood and the EP was produced by the very talented Aidan Love who has worked with Goldfrapp and Gwen Stefani, and other producers are Sheldon Steiger and Chris Thorne/Simon Kidger.
